Indie rock sweethearts Beauty Sleep are producers/songwriters Cheylene Murphy and Ryan McGroarty. The Derry duo serve up a blend of bewitching synths and bombastic guitars that are sure to set your heart racing as their lavish soundscapes and dizzying songwriting have drawn comparisons to New Order, St Vincent & Japanese Breakfast; achieving over a million streams and features in New Music Friday, Discover Weekly Spotify Playlists, garnering national radio support from BBC Radio One, 6Music, RTE2fm and seen them perform at festivals such as SXSW, The Great Escape and Other Voices.

 

These partners in crime released their debut album Be Kind in 2019 which was shortlisted for Best Album at the Northern Irish Music Prize and Recent singles ‘BIG + BAD’ and ‘Big Sky’ have ignited a fever pitch of new fandom in 2024. With the defiant groovy ‘BIG + BAD’ that rejects societal norms and the summer anthem ‘Big Sky’ that celebrates the communal joy of partying, Beauty Sleep has been playlisted on BBC Radio Ulster, Cool FM and Amazing Radio, been featured on ‘Pop Hits’ playlist on Spotify as well as lauded by tastemakers in Hot Press, Get In Her Ears, Nialler9 and the Belfast Telegraph.
